This is good. I liked it, and I think it has a good speaking rhythm and the emotion conveyed is quite powerful. The idea of needing an emotional blanket - even a fake one - is intriguing.

Why thank you. I asked a bunch of people to say a random word and I was going to make a song based on one of them.
I got Culottes, didactic, platypus, slime, erinaceous, Q tip, blanket and Memes.
I chose blanket, suggested by my friend Tae.

@JellyKat, That's a great idea for getting song inspiration! I should totally do that myself! I really like the song. I think you did a great job with it. Currently, I'm trying to decide whether I should pick one of my songs from "Daylight Poetry" or if I should write a new one for this contest.

I would definitely suggest it as inspiration, whether for a song or story. Sometimes it can be a bit tricky, so ask a couple of people. it actually started as a game between my sisters and I. We would suggest a word like leaf and make up a song on the spot.

Oh, I'm all for making new stuff for contest entries. But do what you wish.
