I LOVE Kanade’s whole escape-and-choosing-himself moment, especially when he snaps the black card and then ends up finding Hoshizukiyo. The Three-Cup Promise scene is such a perfect hook, cool, intense, and full of emotion and Ren’s reaction totally hooked me. :))

Kanade breaking the black card was the defining moment where he chooses his own path, and Ren seeing something in him that he doesn't even see in himself yet... there's a lot more to explore with both of them.
