Theres a few places where you didn't put spaces between words, and a place or two where the wordering seems a little off to me, though it may just be me. Interesting idea to go with a Copycat case.Great job, love the way this is written

I really liked this chapter, but I did notice that you changed POV at one point...?
Also, the boys were sitting with Hex between them, and then they were standing with no reason except that they were. ??

I fixed the errors. Thanks for pointing those out. The entire standing thing was really weird... it somehow reminds me of a glitchy video game where you walk into a wall and then go through it or something... Just all of a sudden standing...

Thanks! I felt that the next chapter would a little too tense... I tried to lighten this chapter up some so I could get really dark in chapter four...

@Faithios, I tend to lean toward incredibly morbid things, in one of my private pieces of writing someone vomits blood... Well in this piece I'm having the victim's throats slit horizontally and their tongues pulled out through the slit as well as a Chelsea Smile for the way they are killed... I'd call that gory...

@Faithios, oh good! I enjoy very noir writing pieces, especially writing from unreliable narrators as well as the psychological thriller stances of writers like Stephen King and my favorite story is The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. That story is one of the most trippy stories I have ever read. It gave me nightmares about people lurking about inside my walls... So my inspiration comes from crazy and psychotic people, which is the vibe I'm going for.
