The moment Elena said "I didn't run away, I went looking for my sister" I completely lost it. That line hit so hard. And Caine stepping closer and saying "hey kid, don't cry" right after? The way this chapter shifts from wonder to heartbreak so effortlessly is exactly why I cannot put this story down. The reveal about the Reestablishment was everything. Absolutely hooked.
