She didn't know when she would meet this unknown person, but she knew it had to be soon or everything would go to ruin. Maybe it would be tonight, it has to be tonight. So that's exactly what Emery did, she made sure that the TV downstairs was off, peaked into her parent's room, her mom was sound asleep, and she left. Where the mist lies east, and the truth west.
As she arrived to the half lit store, the mist recoiled; moving as if it was a person watching her. Her eyes moved around, trying to find whoever this was. Until her eyes landed on a tall figure. She tilted her head.
"Who are you?" She asked, his gaze slowly came up. Soft yet dangerous... And it intrigued Emery.
"You're Emery Kane," he mumbled, walking up to her. Closing the distant just a bit.
"Well yes.. But that isn't an answer to my question." She said, her eyes determined. Stubborn to say the least. His mouth moved an inch, as if he was amused by her.
"Fine, I'm Cassian Lockwood... I see you actually followed my instructions?"
"Only because you know about my brother, where is he? What happened to him? Why is he gone?"
"Woah, woah, woah... Little light, calm down. I can't answer all of them at once." He muttered, shaking his head. She blinked at the name, tilting her head. She didn't really care anyway, what she did care about was getting to her brother.
"I don't care, how do you know about him? Huh? Answer me or I'll... I'll punch you.."
"Oh right, because a precious little gem like you can surely punch someone." He mocked, crossing his arms. "All I want to do is help you. And trust me, I'm not someone you should even be around."
Emery rolled her eyes, scoffing. "Right, you're the unfuckable guy right? The one no one should mess around with? Well I don't care, I just want answers!"
"And you'll get them, once you stop being so bratty about it.'
And in a fragment of a second, skin against skin. Quick, hot, within seconds. He blinked, flinching back. "What the-"
"What? I told you I would punch you."
"You little-" he sighed. "I'll keep in touch, starling.." He muttered, and walked away. The mist recoiled once again, the cool Summer night breeze whirling around her. Who was he? And why did she want to find out?
