Dumbledore turned, smiling, “My dear Severus, Hogwarts has always been a place where magic evolves. Why should its portraits remain static when they themselves are not?”

McGonagall gave a small nod, “It would be unprecedented,” she admitted. “But… meaningful.”

Draco looked between them, “…You’re all agreeing with her.”
