At the beginning of the year, I thought History was boring. It felt like a collection of dates and names that I would forget after every test.
Then one day, my teacher told us about an ancient city that disappeared beneath the sea. For the first time, history felt alive. I realized every building, photograph, and old object had a story behind it.
Soon, I found myself reading about kings, explorers, and forgotten civilizations long after class ended. History taught me that the world is full of mysteries waiting to be discovered.
While other subjects showed me how the world works today, History showed me how it became the world we live in now.
When summer break arrived and I had to choose my favorite subject, the answer was easy.
