Pam Reynolds is one of the most verified people who had a near-death experience. Back in the early 90s, she underwent a risky surgical procedure to remove a huge brain aneurysm. During the operation, her body temperature was decreased to 60 F, her heart was stopped, and her blood vessels were drained of blood. Pam experienced being dead because her heart had stopped beating, she did not have a pulse, and her brain was not functioning. Reynolds reported seeing the whole surgical procedure from above. Such information could not be available to Reynolds if her brain was not active. Her eyes were closed, and people put special molded earpieces that produced clicking to check her brainstem responses. The machine was clicking louder and louder until her heart stopped beating, which meant the brain was no longer receiving blood. Her electroencephalogram (EEG) was flat, meaning she had no mental activity. I believe that Pam Reynolds might have indeed seen what she said she saw despite the lack of brain activity. The fact that doctors could not deny her statements and facts that became apparent later proves it. This case illustrates the phenomenon of people being able to perceive things around them even when they are supposedly unconscious due to a lack of brain activity. The woman had a remarkable experience of seeing people and events around her.
